10 Inspiring Content Marketing Ideas

We all know this digital marketing mantra: “content is king.” Creating quality content is essential to have a solid digital presence, but sometimes inspiration fails, and we struggle to come up with ideas for our content plan. So that this doesn’t happen to you again, I’m going to give you 10 inspiring ideas for your content marketing.

10 Tips for Your Content Marketing Plan

Use them conscientiously and value those that you think will be necessary for you. In some cases, you will be able to apply all these tips to your content strategy, but in other cases, you will see that your brand only needs you to apply a couple of the ideas that are exposed here. Come! I won’t go any further, and here I start to detail everything you can do to improve your content marketing.

1# Use the FAQ to create content on your blog

Think about the 20 most frequently asked questions about your product or service and how you could answer them in a didactic way. You already have ideas for 20 posts! In addition to being a great source of useful content, this will help you save time on customer service: the next time you’re asked one of these questions, you’ll just need to send the corresponding link.

2# Include GIFs in your emails to show special offers

GIFs are back in fashion thanks to social networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. It is a simple way to communicate with images, easy to remember, and that speaks to Internet users in their language. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Mini tip: one of my favorite banks of GIFs is the one on Giphy.com. Be sure to visit it. In it, you will find animated images on any theme. Rarely,t do you find just the one you need to illustrate your content.

3# Partner with influencers to create video content

Video content is one of the most engaging for users, but also one of the most difficult to produce. That’s why a good way to create video content is to partner with YouTube influencers. A very common model of collaboration is product reviews and opinions, but if you need inspiration to go further, you can take a look at the new campaign of the American brand Wendy’s. In any case, remember that good casting is essential: choose YouTubers who are really in touch with your audience.

4# Harness the power of memes on Facebook

A meme is, by definition, a viral phenomenon. Is there an image or video circulating on the wall of all your friends? How could you use it humorously for your brand? Be creative and remember that here the goal is not to sell, but to be liked.

5# Don’t forget about hashtags

Twitter hashtags are used to rank your posts and increase their visibility. While it’s not usually a good idea to blatantly exploit the topics of the day, you can use them to talk about your brand in a humorous way that connects with your audience. Beware of those who refer to political or potentially offensive topics. If you can find the right combination of tweet and hashtag, you can get your brand in front of thousands of people in a single post.

Mini tip: Remember that hashtags are no longer just Twitter. You can also use this same strategy on other social networks, such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google+. Although they have the most impact after Twitter is on Instagram, according to my experience.

6# Make a blog post about your mistakes and failures

Much more is usually learned from failures, mistakes, and blunders than from easy successes. Brands and companies often insist on giving an ideal image of themselves, but the truth is that we all make mistakes, and too much perfection is not credible and can get tiring. So dare to talk about your mistakes on your blog! Your readers will appreciate your sincerity.

7# Include screenshots of your social networks in your emails so that your users can see what they are missing

It has always been said that “a picture is worth a thousand wor, ds” and today it is truer than ever. If you want to encourage your newsletter readers to follow your social networks, don’t just put the Twitter and Facebook icons at the bottom of each email. Instead, explain to them the campaigns and promotions you’re running through your social media and include screenshots where they can see them.

8# Host a webinar with Google’s Hangouts tool

Training is one of the most valuable pieces of content you can give to your followers. What is your company’s expertise in? Think about how you can express that expertise through a 30-60 minute chat and use Google’s Hangouts tool to organize it. This way, you can interact directly with attendees and answer their questions, all in real time and for free. A great opportunity to position yourself as an expert.

9# Ask your Facebook page fans what topics they’d like to find on your blog

When the inspiration to create new content falters, asking your brand’s followers through social networks is a resource that never fails. This not only does it gets you new ideas, but you also make your fans feel heard and valued. It’s all advantages!

10# Repurpose your content by scheduling tweets throughout the year

Sometimes we become obsessed with publishing new content when we have a blog or website full of articles that haven’t received all the attention they deserve. That’s why we suggest that you take a good look at your archives and think about what content deserves to be republished and when is the best time to do so. Then, schedule your tweets with a tool like Hootsuite and let your content spread on its own.

I hope all of these tips have helped and inspired you to take a new approach to your content plan.
