Shortly after iOS 18.4: Apple sends first iOS 18.5 version into the race

Apple has just released iOS 18.4. Now they have sent the next iOS-18.5 version into the race, but initially only in a beta version for developers. Even if the really big innovations are probably only coming with iOS 19 in autumn, some interesting features have already been discovered in the upcoming update.
The fan blog MacRumors reports on practical innovations in the mail app. If you look at the three points in the inbox at the top right, you can select directly in the future whether contact photos should be displayed or not. In addition, the function “Group senders” can now be disabled. These options are also available under iOS 18.4, but they are hidden deep in the settings.
Info about Apple Care
There is also something new in the general settings: A separate window with information details and AppleCare now appears under device information. Learn more about AppleCare in all of the overviews of Apple devices that are connected to your account.
It is good that Apple may introduce further functionality in iOS 18.5 before the release. Apple usually releases the “.5” versions – like iOS 17.5 – between early and mid-May. So it’s realistic that iOS 18.5 will be released before the WWDC in June.
