Sony is expanding its BRAVIA product line: the new BRAVIA 8 II, 5 and 3 TV models

Sony reorganised its BRAVIA product line last year and is now united under the name of all entertainment products that film lovers in particular are to address and bring the cinema experience to the home four walls. As the latest addition to the series, the Japanese manufacturer now presents the TV models BRAVIA 8 II, BRAVIA 5, and BRAVIA 3. What they have to offer, you will learn below.

BRAVIA 8 II: The best model according to BRAVIA 9

The BRAVIA 8 II is a development of the BRAVIA 8 and moves behind the top model, BRAVIA 9. Visually, it is characterized by its almost borderless design, which Sony calls “Slim One Slate concept design”. It features a proprietary XR processor and the latest QD OLED panel, using the manufacturer promises to reproduce films in the original.

The presentation of the colors should seem natural and brilliant thanks to “XR Triluminos Max”. An AI scene detection system is also intended to precisely analyze and recognize representations to ensure optimal reproduction.

Thanks to the powerful and dynamic loudspeaker in combination with the “Acoustic Surface Audio+” technology, the BRAVIA 8 II is also intended to offer a cinema-like experience. It is available in screen sizes of 55 and 65 inches. For the first-class cinema experience at home, you have to spend at least 2,600 euros. It will be available from June 2025.

BRAVIA 5: The new model in the medium price segment

The BRAVIA 5 is intended to unite many of last year’s modern Sony technologies. These include “XR Backlight Master Drive”, which intelligently controls the LEDs and can be found as a core technology in Sony’s professional monitors. Contrasting content is also to be optimally reproduced thanks to precise local dimming.

With five different screen sizes ranging from 55 to 98 inches, you also have a greater choice. The starting price is almost 1,550 euros. It will be available to buy from May 2025.

BRAVIA 3: Ideal for entry

According to Sony, the entry-level model BRAVIA 3 offers numerous essential functions such as 4K resolution, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Google TV. Furthermore, even old films in HD resolution will be upscaled to colourful 4K resolution thanks to the X1 processor and “Triluminos Pro” technology.

An additional feature is compatibility with PS Remote Play, which allows the TV to be used in other rooms without any wire connection even without connection. The BRAVIA 3 is available in six different screen sizes from 43 to 85 inches and starts at a price of around 800 euros. It will be available from May 2025.
