Amazon starts with Alexa Plus: But there is a catch

With Alexa Plus, Amazon wants to launch an improved version of the voice assistant, which will score with additional AI functions. This is how it helps you, among other things, if you have to write an email or want to reserve a table in the restaurant. For some users in the USA, a first version is now available, but with fewer features than expected.
As the technology portal The Verge reports, Alexa Plus cannot currently develop gift ideas or receive food orders. In addition, there is no ability to access the AI in the browser to chat with the wizard, for example, via chat instead of voice command. Other features, such as identifying family members or reminders of tasks would also not be available yet, and children would also have to do without interactive stories with “Stories With Alexa”.
Only some Echo devices are available
Currently, Alexa Plus would only be available on the Echo Show 8, 10, 15 and 21. With the wizard, an Uber ride is to be ordered, and emails can be written. In addition, AI is already helping to merge documents or search for certain products. We have already reported on other things you are supposed to do with Alexa Plus before.
In the US, Alexa Plus currently costs 19.99 US dollars per month, but is also available free of charge for Prime members. During the Early Access phase, companies usually get feedback from customers to further improve the product and correct errors.
