Update for the Fritz! App: This function has removed AVM

Most of the time, AVM changes for updates for the Fritz! Smart app only has small things to fix errors or make the system more stable. However, the now-released update for the Android and iOS apps also adds new features. In another app, however, a practical function has disappeared.

The biggest change is the integration of the new smart FRITZ sensor! Smart Energy 250. You can simply attach it magnetically to the electricity meter. View power consumption and heat smartly with iPhone

For example, the app determines incurred electricity costs and displays it directly in a statistic. This is to help you better understand your energy consumption and help you save energy. The sensor is equipped with all FRITZ! Box models compatible with the DECT base station.

Another innovation concerns only iOS users: From now on, it is possible to set up holiday periods and heating-free periods with an iPhone. The prerequisites for this are heating thermostats and a FRITZ! Box that is at least FRITZ! OS 8.0 is running.

Smart home area removed

If you are looking for the “Smart Home” tab after the update, you will be presented with the MyFRITZ! App for Android didn’t find it anymore. In the iOS app, there is a tab. However, there is only the indication that the area from the MyFRITZ! App was removed. Users should become FRITZ instead! Change app.
