“9-1-1 emergency call L.A.” remains a quote hit: ABC extends the series for a 9. Relay
Since 2018, “9-1-1 emergency call L.A.” has with dramatic rescue missions, emotional storylines, and a high-profile cast around Angela Bassett and Peter Krause. After the series switched from FOX to ABC last year, it is now clear that the successful series will remain with the audience, and season 9 has been officially ordered!
While series such as “9-1-1 emergency call L.A.” or continuous hit ” ” continuously delivers strong ratings, it does not look quite as rosy for another ABC series from successful producer Ryan Murphy. “Doctor Odyssey”, which runs together with “9-1-1”, fights with falling viewer numbers. A decision on a second season will be made at the upfronts at the latest in May. The series made its debut on the US channel FOX in 2018 and quickly established itself as one of the most popular dramas on television. Over six seasons, the format thrilled with exciting missions of the Los Angeles fire brigade and emergency services. But in 2023, the surprising endogenous came out at FOX, despite high odds.
Fortunately, ABC stepped in and took over the series for a seventh season. The change has paid off: “9-1-1” is now one of the station’s most reputable formats, both in linear TV and on digital platforms such as Hulu. The audience loves the drama, and ABC gives them more of it.

While FOX also said goodbye to ” 9-1-1: Lone Star ” in early 2025, ABC has ambitious plans for the franchise. A new spin-off is to play in the country capital of Nashville and bring a breath of fresh air to the rescue universe. Chris O’Donnell, who was previously the face of “Navy CIS: L.A.”, was the leading actor for 14 seasons. There is no more detailed information about the start date yet, but ABC seems determined to further expand the franchise.

In this country, fans can follow the new season of “9-1-1 Emergency Call L.A.” on Disney+. But free TV viewers will also get their money’s worth: ProSieben continues to broadcast the latest episodes next month. While season 9 has already been confirmed in the USA, German fans can look forward to fresh episodes. The rescue missions in L.A. are far from over!
